[Prayer for Sunday, July 20]
Monday, July 21, 2008
"He does not crush the weak, or quench the smallest hope; He will end all conflict with his final victory,"
(Matt 12:20, TLB)
PARENT’S PRAYER:
Dear Lord,
Thank you that you are a God who cares for the weak, and a God who brings hope. Lord, we lift ______ to you today. Thank you that in his/her weakness, you are strong. You are able to perform good and mighty works in his/her life. We look to you expectantly for what you will do. We thank you that autism or any other disorder is not the final word in his/her life, but that your promises will ultimately prevail! We choose to cling to you hopefully and confidently, knowing that in the end, you will have victory in all conflict.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-- whatever we ask-- we know that we have what we asked of him." (I John 5:14-15, NIV)
PARENT’S PRAYER:
Heavenly Father,
What a comfort it is to know that when we pray you hear us, and that even at this moment you are listening to us. We thank you that we can have confidence in approaching you. Father, we ask that you would help us to understand your will so that we know what to ask. We pray that you would give us both courage and godly insight as we face (name a particular issue). We especially thank you for your concern for ______. We pray that you would continue to cause him/her to have great breakthrough in days ahead so that he/she could reach all the potential you have given him/her.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
FAMILY/FRIEND’S PRAYER:
