“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.”  (Hebrews 4:16, NLT)

PARENT’S PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,
Help us always to remember that because we are your children, we are able to come to the throne of grace with boldness and ask for mercy.  Lord, we lift ______ before you and ask that you would bring grace into the difficult situations that he/she is facing today.  Lord, we pray especially for (name one or two areas that your child is particularly struggling in).  We thank you for your power to intervene, and we boldly ask that you would do so on his/her behalf.  Lord we ask that you would bring a shift in this situation so that ______ is able to overcome the specific challenges he/she is dealing with.  Thank you!
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

“Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.  She offers you life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left.  She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying.  Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.”
(Proverbs 3:15-18, NLT)

PARENT’S PRAYER:

Dear Lord,
The Bible says that wisdom is the tree of life.  Thank you that you give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation when we ask you for it (Ephesians 1:17).  Therefore, Lord, we are asking for great wisdom in our situation today.  Help us to know what decisions to make for ______ that will move him/her forward and cause him/her to make significant progress.  Lord, we also pray that you would make any provision we need, both financially and in any other way, so that we can move forward in your plan of restoration for ______.  Father we ask for wisdom as we deal with all the school and medical personnel involved in his/her care, and for wisdom, kindness, and patience as in all our relationships here at home.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

“Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.  For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.” (James 1:2-4, NLT)

PARENT’S PRAYER:

Lord,
You know that we have experienced many heartbreaking troubles because of the autism in __________’s life.  And yet, Lord, you have linked sorrow and joy.  The deeper our pain goes, somehow the greater our capacity for your joy will be.  You can bring great things out of even the most trying and testing circumstances.  Lord, please don’t allow us to go through this trial and miss the great things you have for us even in the midst of it.  Give us a clearer picture of what you are trying to accomplish in our lives, and cause our trust in you to deepen and strengthen.  I also ask, Lord that we would see a new breakthrough in ____________’s life that will untie a cord that has been hindering him/her from moving forward in your plan for his/her life and closer to his/her destiny.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
